Summer Reading ends August 13!

What a summer it has been! Summer Reading is winding down -- so be sure to read and log those last few books. Children can turn in their reading logs to the Main Library or Palmer Branch for prizes through the end of August.

Teen reading logs need to be submitted by August 13. Prizes can be collected at the Main Library or Palmer Branch by August 19.

Adult reading logs need to be submitted no later than August 13. Prize drawings will occur shortly after and winners will be contacted.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Summer Reading program and made it one of the best summers ever! We were so happy to see each and every one of you in the library!

Join us for Lunch at the Library!

Children ages 18 and younger are eligible to have lunch at the Library on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12:00-1:00pm. Meals are provided in partnership with the YMCA. All lunches must be consumed at the Main Library (515 Church Street). Lunches are provided on a first-come basis. Space is limited to 15 children. One Duck Stuck Storywalk
Explore downtown Easton! Open through Sunday, August 21.
For all ages. Explore downtown Easton as you read the story of One Duck Stuck by Phyllis Root- a silly counting book just as vibrant as our city! Please visit our website or stop by the Library for more information.
This program is a part of our PA Forward ® Basic Literacy programming.
STEM Saturdays (Palmer)
Visit the library on Saturdays during the Summer Reading Program for a STEM activity! Different activities will be available each week. Legos, Magna-Tiles, and Snap Circuits are just some of the things you can do this summer! Available through August 13.
Stuffie Sleepover (Main)
Drop off Tuesday, August 23, pick up August 25.
All ages. We all know how much fun sleepovers can be- watching movies, eating junk food, and staying up way too late with your friends! Now it’s time for your favorite stuffed animal or other toy to enjoy a sleepover of their own right here at the library! Please make sure to drop your little friend off by no later than the end of the day on August 23. You can pick them up on August 25- they may even bring a little surprise home with them! Read to a Dog at the Library (Main)
Ages 0 - 18 with an adult. Tuesday, August 9 and 23 from 10:30 - 11:30am.
Come to the library and read to a certified Dog Therapy International canine! Although we encourage children to read in this program, they may also show the dog pictures from a book, or simply pet them. Janet Grube, a trained professional handler, will accompany the dog. No registration required, but participation is on a first-come basis. Special time for adults from 10:00 - 10:30.
Storytime at the Cat Cafe (Main)

Family Storytime at the Main Library
For ages 0-5. Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 - 10:15am and 10:30 - 11:15am.
Join Miss Amber on Mondays or Miss Jenny on Wednesdays for a themed Storytime in which we will read books, sing songs, and get our wiggles out! A craft will be available after Storytime. No registration required.
Summer Storytime at the Palmer Branch
Continues through Thursday, August 4. Stay tuned for our Fall dates.
Storytimes will be outside on the lawn at the Palmer Branch, so bring a blanket or lawn chair! (We’ll meet inside on rainy days.)

Music and Movement (Main)

Get your passport stamped each time you attend a Multicultural Passport program! During each workshop participants will create an art project based on the country or culture being highlighted. Email to register.

Create a Fish Pillow (Main)
Ages 8 and older. Thursday, August 11 from 10:00 - 11:30am. Join the EAPL Quilter’s Club to create your own stuffed fish! We will be making these brightly colored aquatic creations on a real sewing machine with the one-to-one assistance of one of the members of the Quilter’s Club. Space is very limited.

Video Game Night (Main)
Ages 8 and older. August 17 from 4:30 - 6:30pm (drop in). Feeling stressed? Take out your frustrations on your friends! Join us for an evening of gaming. We’ll be playing Wii classics like Smash Bros. and Mario Kart. Email to register.
Card Club (Main)
Ages 10+. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 - 6:45pm
Join us for a variety of games played with cards, including Pokémon and Magic the Gathering! Although we have all the cards necessary, feel free to bring your own (just check in with the teacher about using them!).
The card club games are led by a community educator.
Paper Making: DIY Journals (Main)
Ages 10+. Friday, August 19 from 1:00 - 2:00pm.

Have you ever wondered how movies are able to use such cool digital effects? Come to our Videography event to learn more about greenscreens and adding digital backgrounds to videos. We will shoot our own short videos and explore a range of background options on our laptops. Email to register.
Build & Race (Main)
Ages 10+. Monday, August 22 from 5:30 - 6:30pm. Join Miss Amber and Jeremy Joseph of Brick Easton to design and build a car from LEGO. We'll race our creations. Winner will receive a LEGO T-shirt (adult size Small).
