Join us for Earn Your Spots (Virtual)

Hey kids! Join Lafayette Men's Soccer and EAPL for the Earn Your Spots Book Club! This book club is geared toward children in grades K-5. The Lafayette Men's Soccer team will lead virtual read-alouds at Paxinosa and Cheston schools, as well for the entire Easton community through the Easton Area Public Library.

EAPL's read alouds will be held virtually on Saturday, December 4 at 2:00 pm and Wednesday, December 8 at 6:00pm. Email Libby at to register.

Books have been selected for grades K-2 and grades 3-5 and this season's theme is TEAMWORK! Children are invited to pick up their free book from the library in November at our Main Library and Palmer Branch. Thank you Lafayette Men's Soccer for donating these books!

  Read to a Dog at the Library (Main)

For all ages, with an adult. Masks required.
Tuesdays 10:30-11:30am at the Main Library.
Dec 14, Jan 11 and 25, Feb 8 and 22

Come to the Main Library and read to a certified Dog Therapy International canine! Although we encourage children to read in this program, they may also show the dog pictures from a book or simply pet them. Janet Grube, a trained professional handler, will accompany the dog. No registration required. Participation is on first-come basis.

Join us in person at the Main Library for a fun, interactive time of stories, songs and rhymes. Following the program, you’re welcome to stop by the Youth Services (YS) desk and pick up a craft to take home! Join us for a virtual storytime! Build literacy skills by reading picture books and singing old-time favorites. Stop by the library (Main or Palmer) to pick up a themed craft to complete at home. Main Library and Palmer Branch families may join by Zoom. To register, email

Can't make it to a scheduled storytime? Join us for a semi-monthly D.I.Y. (do-it-yourself) Storytime available at both the Main Library and at the Palmer Branch. Picture books will be available for you to read to your little ones, and themed crafts will help them make closer connections to the reading. Visit the Youth Services desk to check out a kit.

Please note: Activities will be the same at Main and Palmer. Adult supervision is required as this is a self-guided program designed to help promote socialization between young children and their caregiver. Supplies are limited to the first 15 participants. Masks are required for in-person children’s programs at the Main Library.
  Card Club (Main)

Ages 10 through Adult at the Main Library
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:00 – 6:30pm
Masks required.

Join us for a variety of games played with cards, including Pokémon and Magic the Gathering! Although we have all the cards necessary, feel free to bring your own (just check in with the teacher about using them!). The Card Club is led by a teacher from the Easton Area Middle School. 
  STEM Science Experiments (Virtual)

Ages 8-12, with assistance of an adult or guardian

Thursdays, 4:00-4:45, Dec. 16, Jan. 13, Feb. 10

Conduct fun experiments with common household items and expand on your knowledge of the scientific world! We will provide the kits with everything needed for the experiments – the kits can be picked up starting September 8th at either the Main Library or the Palmer Branch. Grab and Go Bags from the Main Library!

Stop by the Main Library for Grab and Go Bags for kids.
There are new themes each week, with fun crafts to enjoy together as a family. See Youth Services for more details.

Designed for ages 2-7. Each Grab and Go Bag includes a booklist, supplies for the project, and other fun ideas!
