The Easton Area Public Library strives to ensure that everyone has access to the full range of information, programs, and services it offers. When developing EAPL websites and mobile applications, our Computer Services team seeks to conform to the
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0
success criteria at Level AA or higher.
While we aim to meet or exceed these standards, we recognize that some users may still encounter accessibility barriers. As new technologies and best practices emerge to address accessibility needs, we are committed to incorporating them into our ongoing development process.
Some items in our collections may present accessibility challenges. In these cases, we explore the use of metadata and alternative approaches to improve accessibility. Additionally, we actively work on projects that enhance and enrich our metadata. As a result, we are increasingly able to provide better access to and experiences with our collections for all users, regardless of ability.
