We appreciate your willingness to volunteer at the Easton Area Public Library.
Whether you’re doing data entry, shelf reading, or helping at book sales, your
efforts enhance the services we provide to the community.
To make your volunteer time rewarding for both you and the Library, please
review the following guidelines.
Each volunteer is assigned a supervisor who will explain assigned tasks and
monitor progress. Please direct any questions or ideas to your supervisor.
You and your supervisor will arrange a mutually convenient volunteer schedule
during Library hours. When reporting, please sign in and out in the blue book
at the Circulation Desk. This record helps us track who is in the building
during emergencies and documents volunteer hours for our annual report.
If you are unable to report for your scheduled shift due to illness, family
emergency, or other circumstances, please call 610-258-2917
and leave a message.
If you need assistance while working in a public area and your supervisor is
unavailable, please see the staff member at the Reference Desk.
Volunteers are expected to maintain a neat and professional appearance.
Please avoid overly casual or inappropriate attire, such as tank tops or shorts.
Volunteers who work with privileged or proprietary information are expected
to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Please leave valuable items at home. The Library does not have secure storage
and cannot be responsible for loss or theft.
Holiday closings are posted on the Library website.
Closings due to inclement weather are announced on local radio and television
stations.
