Go Beyond Books at EAPL with our Birding Backpacks!!

It's time to head outside and look toward the sky! Each birding backpack is filled with items from the Lehigh Valley Audubon Society, which focuses on birding in the Northeastern United States. Materials generously donated to the Easton Area Public Library and its Palmer Branch by the Lehigh Valley Audubon Society.

  • Items each backpack include
  • Image Kowa binoculars with a strap
  • Image Peterson Field Guide to Birds of Eastern and Central North America
  • Image Guide booklet in English and Spanish, featuring maps of park locations in the Easton and Palmer.

FAQs for EAPL Birding Backpacks:

  • They are available for a two week loan period on a first-come, first-serve basis only
  • They cannot be placed on hold
  • Borrowers must have a valid Library card with no outstanding lost item or damage charges
  • No food is permitted inside the backpacks
  • Borrowers will be charged a $100 replacement or damage fee for lost or damaged birding backpack items
